AIESEC IN LPU

Established in Jan, 2009, AIESEC in LPU is official expansion of the world’s no.2 LC i.e. AIESEC Chandigarh. AIESEC formally entered Lovely Professional University (LPU) with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between AIESEC Chandigarh and LPU on the 14th of January 2009. It is one of the most progressive expansions of AIESEC in India.

The 'future of nation' struggling for their present

India has world's largest child population but the irony is that even after 60 years of independence, we are not able to provide them with the basic necessities of life � food, medication, etc. It is time we woke up before it's too late.

“CHILDREN ARE the future of nation.” This statement needs serious attention in our country. I just want to put forward some facts and figures. After going through these, you will say the same thing.

India has the world’s largest child population ie 400 million
India is having the largest number of undernourished children in the world, as per the report of World Health Organisation (WHO)
Two million children in India are not able to survive to see their first birthdays
24 per cent of the children in India do not receive vaccination of any kind
17 million children in India are engaged in work
More than 50 per cent of the children, with age ranging from six to 14, do not go to school

These are only a few figures, there is a long list of such surprising and shameful figures.
